Cruise Day 2, "and then there were 4"

So cocktails in hand, we leave Port for open Seas.   Now that there are only 4 of us.............the plans change!      "another cocktail please".

Donna and I settle into our cabin while Rick tries to get he and his father organized in theirs.
We're going to make the best of it.....................It's a week set aside to forget about work, home, and responsibilities........what an understatement.
               Just wait!

First order of business..........unpack.  Once that is done it's shower, cocktail hour and dinner.

Who's in the shower first?
Doesn't matter I'm not doing my hair.........Neither am I.
Did you bring a shower cap?
No, didn't you?

It's amazing what a dry cleaning bag can do............
But we ARE having FUN!

Note the Holland America advertising?
It's a great cruise line and this is about our 3rd voyage with them.

Maybe, just maybe, they will want to use these pictures in their next magazine.............................they shouldn't pass this up!

Now.......... note how attractive we are?
(take your glasses off................please)

OK, OK, maybe one more than the other......

but hell

I was jet lagged,

had been working non-stop for weeks before this trip,

and felt horrible Donna was sharing a room with ME!

Thank God there'd be conjugal visits for them.

   And the night BEGINS...............................................................

ALASKA Day ONE with the 6 of us.

Alaskan Cruise...................My parents (get the picture?),
my Sister Donna and her Husband Rick
    (almost a second honeymoon),
Rick's Father (Pop)  who is celebrating his 80th ..........................and ME!

Just think....I paid for this!

First problem, who shares rooms?   Lets see, my parents always say I can bunk in with them.  As my daughter always tells me, She'd probably go blind if she ever sees her Parents either nude or "doing it".   I agree............Yikes!
NO...............not an option!

Share with the 80 year old?  He'd already told Rick that if he and I hit it off, he'd
leave a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door knob..............
The "LOVE BOAT" should not be running re-runs............ What was he thinking?

Double YIKES!  and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, not an option.

Sooooooooooooooo..... My poor Sister and I  share a room, while her husband is next door with his Father.   and NO I don't feel like the third wheel..................NOT AT ALL.

So our room sat between Rick and his Father, and my Mom and Dad.   As you know, you have to protect 2 single girls on the "LOVE BOAT".  (as the theme plays in the back of my head)

Oh, I forgot to mention, Mom and Dad never made the "family cruise"..............Dad is sick.

So the  f o u r  of us set sail.....................
